Hi, I have a MSI K9N6SGM-V mobo. When I built my PC I used a 1GB DDR2 533MHz PC2-4200 stick in there but recently I decided to put another stick of exactly the same memory in but if I put the new stick into the last memory slot and try to reboot my PC the monitor display will not come up. I have run some trial and error tests and it seems the motherboard just doesn't want to use 2 sticks, Ive tried both memory slots and both memory sticks and it all works fine except when I put 2 in at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you have the latest BIOS for the board ?

Is the RAM overclocked ? Tried using a different divider or loosening the timings ? What works for 1 stick may not work with 2.

Your question is misleading btw, you don't have a monitor problem, you have a memory problem that is preventing your board from posting.
