hey, i only relised earlyer today when i looked at cpuz that my memory was runnig at 5-5-5-15 instead of 4-4-4-12. So i went to correct it but it wont run at 4-4-4-12. The lowest it will go is 15 for tras. Currently its put its self on 18 even though i put it at 12.

If i put it at 15 the pc wont boot.

Any help would be appreciated, its not like an emergancy but it would be nice to sort out. its already underclocked due to my mobo not seemign to like 400fbs and to have my quad at 3.3ghz at the moment means my ram is at 750 abouts.

Having four gb in can put more strain on the memory controler try giving the vmch(vchipset) a little more juice, maybe give it a touch more vdimm.

Give it 2.1v and up the northbridge/MCH voltage by 0.1v to see if you can get TRAS to 15.

Tho i've no idea why the board won't go to 12.

ive already got the mch voltage up to 2.6v if my ram needs 2.1v at 750mhz then thats annoying considering its ment to be 2v for 800mhz 4-4-4-12

Ive had nothing but problems with this mobo ocuk said it may be an unstable mobo and is hould rma it but then im without a pc for a week and that was right after christmas!

often ram won't run as quick as it should when running 4x1gb if it's not a matched kit.

does it boot with 4-4-4-12?

There is a thing with gigabyte boards where you can have the memory at "Turbo" "Extreme" and "standard", it defaults at "turbo" which is faster but less stable, if Abit boards having anything like this trying putting it at standard.
