Hi,
I have an OC'd E6600 on air with the following setup in bios:
FSB: 389
Multi: X9
Clock: 3.5Ghz
Mem Ratio 1:1
Ram Speed: DDR772
My question is, as i have a i975x board, my fsb will not go over 400 no matter what the nb voltage is, also the limit of my cpu is 3.5Ghz will not go any higher without more than 1.55V so i need to make the ram faster, the only way to do this is by chnaging the ratio, by changing the ratio of the ram i can keep my current clock and fsb settings but have my ram running faster, however what is the difference between running ram at 1:1, 1:2, 3:4 etc??
Will i notice a difference? I am considering buying some ballistix PC8000 and sticking them in and chnaing the ratio to run them at DDR1080.
Hope this makes sense and people understand, thanks in advance.
