im the same as the op again. when it comes to amount of sleep, the last time i had a proper nights sleep was a good 4-5 years ago, ive gotten usd to staying awake till 2/3am, going to bed an then wakin up at 8
Sleep at 2-3, Wake at 7, work at 8 - Never had a problem with memory, i'd even say my memory is better than most peoples.
Obviously will differ from person to person, i manage to remember small details about anything, know my 2 credit card numbers off hand, my mom's, aunties even - but its not just numbers.. its everything xD
My memory is terrible at remembering mundane information. If I am doing DIY at home and need a flat head screw driver which happens to be in the work shop (20 sec journey) I will forget what I went to the work shop for
It has been like this for as long as I can remember and I now have to constantly repeat what I want in my head so that I don't forget.
Got a brilliant memory thankfully
Although it's not always a good thing....
I'm not sure if sleep is a factor, I don't generally get that much sleep (used to only be 5 hours a night) and my memory was as good as it is now (I get around 7 now)
No - I really do also have a terrible short-term memory. I think it's just something you have to learn to live with - write things down / post-its etc.
Ive been suffering with a similar problem now for over 16 months. Been to the doctors, had soo many tests done and the finding: nothing!!
I used to play a game with some friends, they would say a line from a film and i would usually be able to guess the film. Cant do that anymore. I forget people have died and then im shocked when i hear things on the radio about them.
Not just my memory, its daft things like getting in the car and putting it into reverse to back out and ive forgotten to start the engine.
Ive got the brain training on the DS and it does help, i try and do lots of puzzles etc but i go through stages where i am fine and then other times when i forget what im saying half way through a sentence.
Im 25, not super health but working towards it, trying to eat right as well. I do however get intense headaches that can last up to 4 days and can knock me off my feet. Whether they are related the doctors dont know
Just have to learn to get by and try to keep my brain active. I find doing things over and over again help, the repetition gets it in my brain.
I have the memory of a gold fish, I cant even remember half the things I do, I can't even remember half the things I did yesterday or anything I did last week, too many bangs to the head I say but theres nothing I can do about it
