Memory Problems - GeIL PC6400

Regarding the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

Ok I bought some of this memory for my new PC Build and have found something extremely weird (well I think it is). I have run memtest on each individual kit and none come back with errors. This is with a setting of 2.1 V running 4-4-4-12 and speed of 800Mhz.

Now when I run all 4 modules together I get errors everywhere while test 3 is completing on memtest. Orthos also chucks back errors. I have tried upping the voltage, relaxing the timings to 5-5-5-18 and even putting everything on Auto, nothing seems to work.

However, if I change the speed to 533 or 667 Mhz and keep the timings at 4-4-4-12 and 2.1V its fine in memtest with no errors and I am able to run 4GB with no issues. Memtest completed, and its also Orthos stable.

Why can't I run this memory at 800Mhz? Can anyone provide some help as to something obvious I am missing?

My Hardware is as follows:
e6600, Asus Striker, BGF 8800GTX, Corsair 620w PSU, 150GB Raptor, 500 GB Seagate 7200.10.

Thanks

Can't get it to run at 800 Mhz at any timings. I tried 2.2 Ghz not 2.3 maybe I should give that a go?

I found Geil favours 2.0V rather than 2.1 or 2.2.

Frankly it doesn't seem to amaze me of the quantity of questions and problems regarding faults with the Geil memory.

Yet OcUK are still adamant it is the best RAM around. That maybe so, but reliability is atrocious it seems.

Ive found the Geil 6400 C4 ram flakey at best, but once u get a good set
(or two), its decent stuff at stock speed and timmings. It dont overclock like my corsair 6400 c4 ram ,however i am on the second set of that !
