Memory question?

OK, basically do I buy this:

Corsair Vengeance 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit

or this:

Kingston HyperX Genesis 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit

Baring in mind I already have 6GB of Patriot Viper 1600 C8 (not c9 as in the review) memory I would like to keep......(although that is not totally necessary if incompatible)

Basically is the Corsair worth the extra £20 or so, or am I simply wasting money......

For the sake of saving 20 quid, id go for the kingston. Thats an incredibly good price for 12gb, a few months back 6gb of corsair xms 3 set me back £50.00.

Same boat as castiel. Went for the cossair kit. Used cossair before and never had issues with them. £20 isn't a deal breaker for me but less is less.

Thats what I thought, I was just wondering which was the most likely to be friendly toward my patriot...or whether the Corsair was worth the extra £20.....

The kingston would be better suited voltage wise to the patriot, as both are rated at 1.65v. Whereas the crucial and corsair are rated at 1.5v. Of course then youd have to match the timings of the patriot and kingston.

The Patriot is fine at 1.5v anyway....however, it looks that the Kingston would be the better match as well as being cheaper...

Thanks for the advice chaps.

In the end I bought 24GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 and will just sell the Patriot on.
