Memory spec please...

Ok, so i know almost nothing about memory.

I currently have 16Gb of Kingston Hyper X XMP memory.

It is installed in my gigabyte G1 Sniper 3 board. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4169#ov

Would i be able to run any 'better' memory and see a performance increase?

Mainly gaming at the moment, but some video encoding/editing too.

Any recommendations? maybe 8Gb would be enough but faster......also it can be any physical size as my system is watercooled.

You wont notice the difference with faster memory, if you want games and video encoding to go faster you will either have to overclock your graphics card and cpu more or upgrade them

Its good that you have 16gb, it will ensure all your programs get the memory they need!

Edit: After looking at your specs, they are immense! Why would you want more speed than that? ^^

hey you wont notice much difference at all if you want to notice a difference add SSD if you havent already but that s it really

Nah, i was just wondering if any gains were to be had if i changed the RAM for something better. Obviously not......but thanks for looking and giving me an answer anyway guys.
