Memory Speed??

hi, I have the following system:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 running @3ghz, 9x 334mhz with a Gigabyte 965p DS3 motherboard, my questions is my memory speed which I have set at a ratio of 2T which gives me a memory speed of 668mhz, now I have crucial ballistix PC6400 800mhz memory so will the memory run at 668mhz or default speed of 800mhz - a little puzzled with what setting I should have my memory at in the bios.

Setting your memory multiplier (ratio) to 2.4, if it's an option, will give you 800MHz.

Thanks, Ok here is what I tried:
I put the memory multiplier to 2.66 which was the next one up, this overclocked my memory to approx 890mhz which would not post.
Then I loosened the timings in the memory to 5, 5, 5, 15 but it failed Orthos after about an hour (the temps were fine >> 50C) so not sure if it is a problem with the memory or not, any thoughts please??
I have reverted back to my original overclock which has my memory running @668mhz for now.
