memory tester options

well its been a while, but is memtest still the daddy for error checking? my little pc has been having trouble posting from cold, and wanna check the memory.

1. So which program is best memtest?

2. Can i run via USB key or within windows as no CDROM drive yet (ordered from ocuk)

Yes you can run via USB key.

If you download the GParted LiveCD iso, and just extract it to your USB key, then download Syslinux, and follow the instructions to install syslinux on your USB key, it works effortlessly.
