Memory Timing Problems

Hey, Straight to it

i have 2gb of patriot ultra low latency memory (4-4-4-12) and no matter what
I try I cant get it to run at 4-4-4-12 (usually blue screens). My mobo is a asus p5k-VM.

If any other info is required just ask ,

Is this PC2-6400?

What FSB are you running at?

My Fsb is currently 1333 MHz , running a e8400. Yeah it is PC2-6400

Are you setting the voltage properly for the RAM?

yeah it states 2.1 volts. for 4-4-4-12 timings

If you have set the voltage then:
A: your mobo sucks
or
B: you're doing it wrong

I know it isn't what you paid for but might be best to just run standard timings, the difference isn't anything you'd notice outside of benching.

1. Flash to the newest BIOS if you have not already done so
2. Check each module individually with Memtest
3.If that fails to help you isolate the issue, contact the MOBO maker or memory maker and get some support directly from them.

K cheers guys I think it may be voltage settings, as it will run all the other downclocked speeds np but ofc that's not what i want =). Ill contact asus with an email.
