Hi all, ive just upgraded my pc with 2gb of corsair ddr400 xms3500.

Before i put the sticks into the motherboard i did a bios flash, to the most recient bios.(i have an asus a8n sli-deluxe, latest bios revision).

The memory timings for my new memory is 2 3 2 6 1.

With me flashing the bios it has re-set the memory dram configuration timings.

My problem is....theres so many options to change, i don't know which i need to change, and to be honest, i don't really understand RAS and CAS and things.

Can someone (who has the same motherboard and bios revision) please help me by telling me which options to change?
As i don't want to bugger up and mess everything completely.

Thanks!

Cas (Column Address Strobe) = 2
TRCD (Ras to Case Delay) = 3
TRP (Row Precharge) = 2
TRAS (Row Address Strobe) = 6
1 i'd guess is command rate, shouldnt need to worry about that.

I already answered your question in the other thread that you made. :)

CAS# latency (Tcl) [ 2.0 ]

RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) [ 3 ]

Min RAS# active time (Tras) [ 6 ]

Row precharge Time (trp) [ 2 ]

1T/2T Memory timing [ 1T ]

I'd also advise you to up the memory's voltage from auto = 2.6v to 2.7v (or 2.75v if your planning to overclock your processor to match your rams default fsb, hence 217MHz at a 1:1 ratio).

To do so go to Advanced > CPU Configuration > Overclock profile > Manual > DDR voltage > 2.7v.

Goodluck. :)
