Hi guys,

I have Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard and GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC).

I want to upgrade to 4GB of memory, so do I just buy another GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) and install it, thats gonna make it 4 x 1GB sticks, then upgrade to vista64bit as 2GB isint enough imo for vista.

Yes you could do that, or your other option would be to get 2x2GB sticks giving to you the option to expand your memory later to a possible 8GB, either way is good though as memory is so cheap atm.

Either way would work fine as Murzo says, I'd probably just buy the additional 2gb kit and use that as it is cheaper and Core2Duos don't have the same issues with 4 sticks of Ram that A64s do.

UPDATE:

Received my memory, installed it last night (now 4 x 1GB) and then vista 64 bit that I ordered with it, all working fine, vista64 works much better/smoother with 4GB memory.
