Memory won't POST in two different mobo

Looks like CPU is deffo fried RAM neither board will boot when it’s in DIMM A1 or A2 but does in B1 & B2. Soon as I swap to the Ivy Bridge CPU both boards boot with RAM in any of the DIMMs

So that’s the 2500k memory controller shot I think.

As for the ASUS board the first PCIe slot seems to be faulty, when my 670s in that it will boot but shortly after getting into Windows the driver will crash and have had a couple of BSODs. If i stick it in the second PCIe slot everything seems to run fine, but even though it’s a hardwired x16 slot it always run at x8 so that’s not ideal.

So think i’m going to buy another mobo and run the ivy bridge while seeing if I can get the ASUS and i2500k RMA’d

So much for a cheeky mobo upgrade, bet certainly went bad.

Actually looks like the PCIe problem is more to do with running my 670 in PCIe 3 mode as it also effects my Z68 board.

Had so much go wrong with testing this board... never ever had this much trouble.
