All the hardware monitor software I install shows my ram as PC3 10700 DDR3 1334

I bought DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz.

So do I have to set them up in the bios or do I have the wrong ones.

Motherboard is a Gigabyte Z77-D3H.

Go in to the BIOS and the memory section and either change the ratio from 13.33X to 16.00X, check the timings and voltage is what is on the sticks.

Or if theres a XMP profile option, select that.

What RAM is it?

You will need to manually setup the timings ect in the BIOS or look at enabling the XMP in the BIOS which should setup the the memory.

It doesn't seem to let me set it up in advanced so I have to do it in 3dbios, but I've moved the slider across so it reads 1600. Is this normal with this ram to have manually set it up rather than it being like that straight out of the box?

Anything over the standard 1333mhz 9/10 you will need to setup the ram manually.

All my system I have needed todo this.
