memtest 86 help

First time using this software I booted from usb and loaded fine , in ram info its got pc4 25600 dd4 xmp 3200mhz.
I think I do have xmp on in the bios but does this mean its testing at 3200mhz on xmp or does this just auto test the ram at the highest ram speed regardless of xmp on?

Memtest86 isn't worth using.

Use one of the following...

HCI Memtest Pro
Google Stress App Test (via BASH terminal)
Karhu Ramtest

It just displays the XMP profile information it reads on the RAM sticks.

I think it's confusing because it's not necessarily what your RAM is running at. You can confirm which speed/timings your RAM is running by going into the Bios.

The RAM will be tested at the speed you have set in the Bios.

Make sure you're using the Passmark version of memtest86
