Memtest - which version (im a noob!)

Hi guys, I have a newly built pc, and it keeps crashing in games and want to see if its me RAM thats at fault.

Whacked memtest into google, but theres so many versions - I dont know which one to use!

Can you give me a direct link to which one I need please?

Im on xp home edition btw

And what do i do with it, copy it to disk? Never done it before ya see

If you pick the bootable CD .ISO version then you just unzip the file and burn the .iso to CD using ImgBurn or similar.

If you pick the USB or floppy version then it should just be a case of running the file and following the instructions.

Cheers mate , running the test now, and I am at 24 percent pass, and have 2269 errors, I assume this is bad? lol

Yip.

Make sure that the memory is set up correctly. Then test each stick on it's own. Then if necessary test each memory slot too.
