MemTest86 failure vs MS diag pass....?

Guys - quick question. I've been having some instability on my rig recently which turned out to be a bad DIMM. But with working tested DIMMs, I'm still unable to get a MemTest pass when using more than one DIMM. Memtest just reboots about 5 seconds into the single core test. However, when I run the Windows 7 memory diag it passes with no problem.

Does this just mean that the Windows memory diag is rubbish?

PS - Board is an MSI P35 Neo2

Quote from memtests site, Version 3.5 is the preferred release. Please use the 3.4 release for testing 4GB or more of memory

it seems that versions have bugs so worth a check which version your testing with.

maybe better to get memtest86+

Thanks - I tried MemTest86+ and worked - diag passes OK with 4 dimms.
