Merging XBOX accounts

Got my 360 set up the other day but wasn't connected online. Started playing GTA IV then thought i'd get the network side up and running. Got on to XBOX Live and downloaded my very old account with acheivements and all that but there's no option to pass over all the stuff i've done offline in GTA IV so essentially I now have two accounts!

Is there a way to merge all my offline stuff with my old online account?

do not think it is posible, best bet is to hold of on gta unitl you can get access to your old account, other wise you will have to start again

Already connected on my old account, not going to bother redoing all the missions again - I'll just start fresh on this new one. That's one pain, now I'm trying to use the free months gold that comes with every new 360 but when I sign up it's asking me to put in credit card details. There's not even a piece of paper with a redeem code in the 360 box, aaargh so frustrating how does it all work?!!!

you dont get a free month with a 360 you get a free month with a new account, if you signed up for a new live account you should get one month free gold, however it might be limited to one per registered address, best call MS

sign up for a silver account and the free months gold will automatically be accredited to your account I believe

oh right, thanks. I ended up using the free month from GTA IV. Might have lost the free month from the 360 now but I'll guess I'll find out at the end of this free month.

I've not had a good experience with the 360 so far, this is one of the newer units with HDMI and supposidly all the problems sorted out. So far, the wireless network adapter won't work with it and it's also frozen, only had it since yesterday as well!

as ultra said, the free month of gold doesnt come with the 360 itself, its automatically applied when you first sign up with a gamertag and a silver subscription. I presume as you said you retrieved your old tag that you allready had a free month of gold before, therefor you wont get another free month when the GTA4 free month has expired.
