Merging XP partitions

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct section of the forum, but i was wondering if anyone has any advice of merging partitions under XP Professional.

Is it essentail to use a 3rd party program for this?

Are they all purchse-only, or are there any that can do this within a demo version?

Any related wisdom very welcome!

Yes , you will need a 3rd party app to do this

Do not dispair tho , there are freeware linux boot disks that have utils to do this.

Another to try is the Hiren boot cd , you can search for it on any decent torrent site

Right, looks like Gparted it is. Will have a crack at this at lunchtime. Must say, looks a tad complicatated though!

Had a look at Gparted, and didn't really understand a thing. On which basis, gave the Hiren CD a whirl - and now got the job done.
