Glad to hear you got your account back - the same thing happened with my Rockstar one a few years ago; they deleted all my friends/ stats & added a couple of Russian mates - then proceeded to hack in GTA 5 for a couple of hours. To be fair Rockstar support were really helpful and got everything reverted quickly.

Just make sure to enable 2FA and change any passwords for other services if they were similar to your Origin one.
