Hi guys, I'm stuck.

I have a laptop on an adhoc network with my desktop PC. I want to use MSN Messenger 7.5 but so far i cant.

I've tried alternative programs too, Trillian and the others, and i cannot sign into MSN.

Strangely, When I run the Connection test that is in the connection options of MSN, it tells me EVERYTHING is A'ok. But its obviously not...Or i would be signed in :)

the REALLY strange thing is if i sign in on my account on the laptop, while being signed in on the PC. It tells me i've signed in on another computer!! Which shows its logging in! Just doesn't seem to get as far as to letting me see online contacts and speak!

Any help?

I had a similar problem with msn 7.5 on a network aswell. I went and installed msn 7.0 instead and it worked fine.. I guess there is bug or something in msn 7.5 related to networks.. Either that or im doing something wrong lol.

This is happening to me in Vista Beta 2! I might try installing v7 then as you say that seems to work...but 7.5 works fine in XP for me. :(
