Would have thought a more realistic fee would be around half that. £30m + Adriano is still pretty huge, especially given Chelsea would probably stump up £20m+ for Adriano.

I dont think Adriano is worth £10m with the way he's been playing over the last year. He hasnt scored in over 6 months now!
Top of his game though, maybe £20-25m.

Just because a player isn't worth £20m, doesn't mean Chelsea won't pay it. They spent more than that on SWP, Essien and Drogba.

Don't forget Carvalho and Fereira too, both overpriced especially Carvalho. And if Deco hadn’t have gone to Barca I'm pretty sure they would have landed him for no less that £25M

I agree, Chelsea do pay crazy money sometimes.
But in realistic terms, to the sane, i dont think Adriano is worth much anymore. He's got time to turn it around though.
