What I don't get is Kojima's sense of humour- Trying not to turn these points into spoilers but for anyone that does know....

What on earth is funny about the rat patrol guy almost pooing his pants every cutscene?!

The drebin guy and the monkey- what the hell?! Talk about annoying character!

Raidens last fight how ridiculous!

Basically the humour is just not at all funny- MGS has such a serious story yet has these bits that just don't fit in at all

And why when you first start the game do u have to watch those ridiculous tv channels?!?!?!

Take it you dont watch Anime.

Metal Gear is very much animesk at it's core. And a lot of what you find strange in MGS, you will find in much of Japanese Entertainment.

It's why I love it

No - can't say I do. Perhaps I miss the humour of the MGS games (could have sworn the others were not so blatant tho??)- apart from getting ****** on in MGS2

Sell it soonish then so it doesnt lose value, next maybe youll play the thing if youve brought it like most people.

Nanoman- I've played all the others bar mgs3.

None of the others were that blatant in their childish comedy. I can only presume the adverts at the start are to disguise loading...

The ads at the start are programs that are from that time. Its to give you an idea of how things are in that world.
