Metal Gear Solid 4

You should try and make time for Snake Eater so you can better understand the cutscenes involving a certain someone at the end of MGS4. Unless you're already confident with the story. :)

I got as far as the end boss on Snake Eater on the PS2 and never finished MGS4 so have no idea what you're on about :p

Maybe I'll do

Snake Eater
MGS Twin Snakes (gamecube)
MGS2
MGS4

I'd recommend waiting until the HD Remake comes out and then on PS3:

MGS (PS1 Version)
MGS2
MGS3
MGS4

Even though some of the games are set way back in time that is the order in which they come out, and the order in which they are meant to be played. SO DO IT. :p :D

I'm getting excited just thinking about an epic MGS marathon. :p

Hated every single second of MGS4, retarded story, retarded characters, 99% of it is cutscenes and the parts that aren't cut scenes are horrendously dull.

MGS1/3 are still some of my favourite games of all time however MGS4 ****ed me off enough to almost ruin the entire series.

Seriously?

You're on your own there. :p

Just completed it, epic cut scenes at the end! Absolutely superb game, highly impressed, I want to go through it again slower and be more thorough with my exploration.
Very Very Impressed - Are there any differences in the game when you go through it the second time?

Great game indeed. To be honest I didn't know what was going on as the last MGS was such a long time ago. I had to have a quick flick through the MGS wiki in the beginning to avoid getting lost in the plot. Since MGS has quite a complex story compared to most games, I think they should have done a quick recap on the series of some sort.

Didn't want to start a new thread for a simple question, so thought I'd ask in here...

Looking to get MGS for my PSP from the PSN store, but before I buy I wanted to know how much room it needs. I've got just over a gig spare, will it fit?

Thanks in advance:)

I can totally understand where you're coming from, if the cut scenes weren't your cup of tea then you were screwed because there was so much of it. For me I enjoyed the gameplay but personally found it inferior to SC Conviction.

Alhough brilliant I couldn't help but feel a tad dissappointed with MGS4 cant put my finger on why. MGS is without doubt my favourite game series ever. The first will always be an alltime classic but my favourite is Snake Eater.

Looks like it's around 780MB, so should fit nicely.

3 Years on and I'm still playing it - been playing only mgs4 for a good while, well the online anyway. Recently played the campaign (for a playthrough with No kills/alerts - you get a few goodies ;)) and still discovered a few new little things (shaking pad resets octocamo, After the defeating cryng wolf, if you kill a wolf and speak on the codec you get some 'unpleasant reactions' :D or even during the Raiden Vs Vamp fight at the end,[POSS SPOILER] if you try and shoot vamp you'll hear snake mutter he can't do it and he'll refuse to shoot

[/POSS SPOILER]

Oh, and on the 3rd playthrough - When you first meet Rose (psychological counsellor on the codec) she has a different top on. :D

Also the online takes skill compared to your usual CoD frag-fest (n)
