Method of applying Thermal Compound to GPU

I currently have a XFX9800GTX+ 512MB and a Akasa AK-VC03-BLUV Vortexx NEO VGA Cooler

I'm planning on getting some MX-3 paste to use with the cooler...but I'm wondering which would be a better application method to use?

I know most people would use line method or pea method for CPU, and spread method is a big no no because of trapping air bubbles. What about for GPU? Would the pea method still works better and spread method still suck...or is it different for GPU? And what about cross method?

I use spread on gpu, tbh the application on all gpu's is that shocking its immposible to balls it up

I have found that the pea method works fine for most things tbh cant go wrong , just make sure not to apply to much or to little

Spread method but very thinly spread, you want as much metal to metal contact as possible.
