I've seen far far worse posted than what I posted, the guy was blatently after an argument with a viewpoint that was very defensive of a franchise that any PC gamer will know as a milked out cash cow that most are sick of the sight of and other people had said the same thing prior to me so why I have the anti COD defence crew on my back I really dont know.
As for work I am entitled to breaks, there is nothing to add up. I stopped replying as there was clearly no seeing sense but if you want to continue a pointless argument i'm not particulary interested in doing so

hmmm are they not the 2 most played games on steam right now (mw2 & black ops) Counter stike doesnt get as much stick for some reason. Think mainly as its the biggest series around at the moment it gets a lot of the hate. I admit i wasnt as keen on black ops as mw and mw2 but it was still a decent enough game (initial bugs aside). Im a console gamer and pc gamer and like yourself I have spent a lot of money on my set up probably close to £2500 and there are not that many games to push it but you dont see me moaning about old game engines, helps me run them on 3 screens!

I do agree with you though and dont understand how they can compare these 2 games, cod single player is like a throw away action movie where as metro had a lot of atmosphere, perhaps they were getting at some of the flaw gameplay mechanics such as the sometimes dodgy hit detection or the terrible stealth sections. What i dont want to happen though is do a bioshock 2 and add an awful multiplayer

Counter Strike and Counter Strike Source I beleive are the most popular games on Steam.
Honestly though its not the point, I understand why COD and the COD series is popular and why it sells and why the publishers are milking it, what I dont understand is how a game like 2033 with an immersive atmosphere and amazing graphics and gameplay can even be compared to a generic series like COD, especially when the comment is made by a dev! I find it very worrying

yeah 1st time ive checked in a while and yeah your right they are number one but at one point black ops was close to having 80000 online on a daily basis but my point was that it doesnt get the hate counter strike get when they both really are twitch shooters. I think metro could take a few idea's from the cod series and improve it as the atmosphere was amazing and i love the setting but i found it a hard game to love because there were flaws in the gameplay. it was an overall linear game anyway so they cant ruin it too much!

You're right about the flaws and its those that I hope have been sorted for the second installment
If they take anything at all COD I really hope its an online feature and that it works and it surprises us all but if its anything like COD's MP I wont be interested, 5 years ago yes, in 2011 its just dated, milked and very predictable/boring

Are you even thinking about what you're saying? Yes, CoD has a single player. Yes, Metro is a single player. So suddenly the devs of Metro should start taking ideas from CoD? How does that make sense on any level? The games have absolutely nothing in common.

All i was saying is i think they could take some elements from the cod series and dont think it would be a bad thing i quite like both games to be honest i just feel metro gets more love as its a system killer in performance terms. Seems you quite hurt by this so sorry for the offence this has caused .

hmmm id rather have another griping story but if they do have a multi lets hope its well though out and not just quickly added on like a lot of games these days
