Metro 2034

Just finished Metro 2033 and really enjoyed it, very atmospheric. Would be happy with more of the same in 2034. Also enjoyed the first two STALKER games (waiting for imminent Complete mod for third) and this had a similar feel although it was very linear.

Compete with CoD? Why the **** is every developer using this ******* phrase today?

All CoD has done is sell in massive numbers, not bring anything new gameplay wise! If you want to ******* compete with CoD then make a good ******* game.

Making under par games yearly for extra cash? I can see why that would be great if you were an investor.

God I miss when video game production wasn't just about stock prices. It's just soulless rehash after another.

i thought Metro 2033 was excellent, it kicked the heck out of my system so had to turn off DOF and tesellation options... But it was graphically amazing to look at. I enjoyed it more in terms of graphics and gameplay then crysis and it was way, way better then COD MW2 or Black ops for single player.. Well it had to be, it was after all a single player game.. lol

No I thought it was a great game, had some funny moments towards the end as well as really creepy as well.

I got the book on the back of the game..

I thought it was the best fps ive played in a long time, and i dont play it on full graphics. But maybe thats because i have read the book and understand a greater story than anyone else who just plays the game.

Another game being consolized?

That article is about marketing support, there is one line about them wanting it to have better shooting mechanics.

So no, not "another game being consolized", whatever that means.

Also, the only thing 2033 had going for it that was particularly PC-ish was the graphics, everything was very straight forward.

Pretty much agree with this. A great looking game, the best I've seen yet imo, though I would have much preferred to have seen this technology used under a different artistic direction. Would have been interesting.
