Metro 2039 announced

Exodus is the only Metro game I've played (got all the others on my very large Steam backlog), I remember enjoying I though.

First games were a linear/corridor shooter kinda of an experience. Exodus was a bit open world (once you leave Moscow), with PoI and exploration. I can only fault it for the usual artificial scarcity that is in almost any game out there; other than that... I'd say is better than the previous games.
Maybe I'll have to give it another look sometime, maybe it was me more than the game as I'm a fan of open world.

I seem to remember there were far too many cutscenes. The story was fine but could have been done more like Half Life 2 where it happens around you rather you just watching a film.
However I've replayed them all several times so there is defo something there.

I've enjoyed the metro series and I am currently playing exodus so it's great to see a new game in development

Sign me up, enjoyed playing through the last trilogy when I went back to revisit, Exodus still looks better than most games that have a recent release.

Imagine how good console games would be if consoles had top end spec when they were released. 5090, 9950X3D (or equivalent console hardware) but consoles were just more expensive.

Tbh next consoles are supposed to be pretty new hardware this time, Zen5/6 and RDNA5 iirc but honestly I think it's just gonna make more budget PC gamers bitch when they can't play the newest games at max settings
