Confused about this.

I thought it was a new Metro game and I was really excited.

However reading this, it sounds like they have just improved the original two games.

Cheeses me off a little, as why cant people that already own the games download these improvements or maybe pay for them at a DLC price.

Reading the article it seems like its mainly aimed at next gen consoles (or current gen?) where these games aren't available.

Similar to The Last of Us being released on Ps3 then being improved and re-released on ps4.

Playing 2033 again with the latest 4A Engine would be nice, but spending money on it isn't worth it just for that.

Isnt it basically Metro 'Gold' edition. Basically both games in one with graphical tweaks and also ported to the latest consoles.

There is a separate redux version for each game, just seems a way to milk more money.

Oh really? Thats daft, so they are releasing Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux separately.

They could have stuck it all in one box and called it the Directors Cut or something.

Shame on you 4A! Just hurry up and focus on Metro 3 please :D

Complete cash in. Metro already looks great on PC so it's hardly going to be much of a difference i wouldn't think. Better textures here and there. Seems to be a thing just now with rereleasing games.

Yeah, it's not a game that springs to mind when I think of games that I'd like to see on new engines.

Apart from the fact it runs like a dog on all but the most powerful systems. I'm waiting for reviews comparing the redux to the originals as far as performance is concerned. if they've nailed that then I'm buying them, although not expecting much.

Really? It ran fine for me. Comparing to Watch dogs, metro runs like a dream.

I would normally get annoyed at an obvious cash-in like this, but I will probably buy it considering I never got round to playing 2033 or last night.

I just hope it doesn't run like crap like every other new release or re-release we have been seeing lately.
