MG TF 80th Anniversary - Pics

You can easily push the bumper back into place. I find mine bows out just in front of the wheel arches after a while. It seems pretty flexible to me!

Very nice indeed :)

Dad used to have an MGF VVC and now has a TF Sprint 160 - very similar to yours, silly low miles (sub 10k), mint condition...it's silver and grey alcantara though, with no ac. The TF really is a massive improvement over the F to drive, can be a real giggle

Looks very nice! Always had a soft spot for these, the plastics on the interior really are showing their age though from the MGF.

yes, and no. I know there is a lot more to it - but it does use the metro front sub frame for the front and rear sub frames on them. Hence the MG-F having hydragas (like the metro) :)

Remember that the MGF uses Metro sub-frames, and the Metro is a Super-Mini sized hatchback. The geometry and suspension pick points were therefore maximised for this application. Unfortunately for us, the Metro has a higher standard ride height than the F. For better handling, the F has been lowered by the Rover development team as far as can be achieved without unduly affecting camber.

The MGF subframes are based on Metro components, but they are not the same parts. The TF are different again since they have no Hydragas system.

I know, hence saying 'i know there's more to it' and the big smiley face after saying it was two metros bolted together :D
