MGS

Can't wait. Love the MGS series.

I might have even considered getting a ps4 for this(in about 5 years time maybe), but now there is absolutely no need!
 
Absolutely brilliant news. Day 1 purchase for me, I think.

I was also considering buying a PS4 bundle with MGS5, and now will reconsider.
 
To those going for PS4, why buy it on the inferior platform?

As an avid MGS fan who does not own any of the current-gen consoles (and doesn't intend to), this is great news. I played MGS4 to completion so will be looking forward to this :)

As I stated, "inferior platform". IMO. However, I can totally understand those who want to play it on their couches in front of a big TV, assuming that they do not have a Streaming set-up via Steam or a direct connection to the TV from their PC.

Of course, it is an unstated assumption on my part that Konami will take advantage of and bring to bear the full grunt of a gaming PC (anti-aliasing, higher res support, no FPS locking etc.), and even if they don't (in which case they will probably lose my sale), it is likely that (a) modding will take care of it, and (b) downsampling or brute-force techniques can be applied.
 
For many the PS4 is likely to be the superior platform though. I genuinely don't know if my PC would run the game at settings that equal the PS4 version.

MGS has always been a PlayStation game to me anyway, regardless of the times when it's appeared on other platforms. It wouldn't feel right playing it without a PS controller in my hands.

There's no reason to be calling it the "inferior platform" though, it makes it seem like you're just trying to annoy people.

Hm, I suppose. No offence meant by it though - wasn't trying to start a flame war, just stating my biased opinion.

I also want to play the game at release and not be waiting around when I can be playing it on a pretty damn good platform anyway.

I don't think my PS4 is the inferior platform though, I'm fed up of messing around with settings and **** on PC atm anyway.

I hope it is a good port to the PC though and it looks the best it can, I might pick it up eventually on PC when its cheap.
