Hello, hello.

I've recently bought a PS3 and MGS4 came with it.

I'm really not enjoying the actual combat and gameplay side of things, but i really like the cut scenes...

Is there any way of just watching the story unfold without having to endure the crap gameplay?
I'm sorry if this appears as though im trolling or whatever, it's not intended as such.

Thanks :)

LOL, it's what I did with MGS 1 + 2. Far too much faffing about trying to play the damn things so I just watched someone else play it on YouTube! Glad I didn't play myself after watching those walkthroughs.

Just put it on the easiest mode, its beyond a joke easy, enemies get one shotted by shooting them in the foot.

Although there are various gameplay methods from run and gun to all out stealth, try some, you might enjoy it :p

Come on, the game is great! There are so many styles of playing through, there has to be something there for you! You can either just run-and-gun (with a grenade launcher), stealth it, sniper it, kill-no-bad guys it. It's great!

I agree. It's a great game if you give it a go.

...plus the time it took to install each episode :)

When I played through subsequent times I skipped all the cut-scenes and it just didn't feel the same: it just felt like some fancy run-and-gun. The story really made the game. You could really feel Snake getting older. And ah, the bit where he gets microwaved! Intense stuff.
