*** Mi 11 Thread ***

Quite disappointed the Pro isn't getting an official UK release. I may leave it a few months and see if I can pick one up from somewhere like AliExpress.

Mind boggling about USB 2 speeds on the port. Just like OP moving their fingerprint scanmer way down. Why do they make these decisions?

Just paid £889 on Wonda for the Mi 11 Ultra which should arrive in about a month. It'll be running Chinese ROM and have Google Play pre-installed.

Nice, so the Chinese ROM will work over here? Or are you flashing a global ROM?

Oh and what about updates?

the website I ordered from includes a year warranty and 14day return period. Worth the risk seeing as it'll be around £1250 for the UK/Global variant.

I was gonna say in my experience you can't install the Global ROM on the Chinese variants, also there's usually some minor differences such as memory size and dual sim slots, adverts etc. However as you point out there's a massive difference in price so good move , and with Wonda no import tax either .

Good luck with it mate hope you like it.

Personally it's too much of a risk on a premium device. You're at their mercy for warranty repairs and replacement. Especially if a fault is intermittent.

I cancelled my order with Wonda after some questions and confirming that the version they provide is the China version not Hong Kong. :(
