you do like cars and mv.... u ok?
luigi only follow ferrari.
no i HATE those to films. cars was disgusting

i have lost faith in motion picture. superman was awesome though, POTC was pretty good aswell.

now i need something to relight my love for cinema

This is about half as good as Heat and the Bad Boys series, it really is nothing special, overstyled nonsense with no real connection between the two lead characters, and a confusing beginning, in fact i cannot remember a characters name accept that Alonso guy that was in the Bentley towards the beginning.

i wasnt gonna go see it cos i thought it was just gonna be bad boys dont badly. I think ill give it a go now, thanks

It's a shame the general public will goto see it presuming it will be a Bad Boys no-brainer type film as you say, and so the film will get ripped by most people.

Totally agree with you there mate. Just back from seeing it with the Mrs who also enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was excellent, and the acting was spot on and I also loved the gun shots, very realistic!

this was one of the worst films ive ever had the misfortune to watch. and i saw CARS!

the plot made no sense well it might have but i couldnt pay attention it was so boring, you could barely hear what the characters were saying! acting was flat and rubbish

my only good thing was the gun fight at the end, the sound effects were brilliant but it was ruinied by jaime foxx with the stupid roll and shoot

2/10

if you want to see my exact opinion look at the review the independant gave, because that is EXACTLY what i said after the film

Went to the cinema today with the intention of seeing cars, but i reeeally didnt want to, so saw Miami Vice finally.
Totally disagree with all of that, was one of the best films i've seen recently and I dont' even like "drug/crime/gun" films. The plot did make sense and it was just overall lushness :D :D

This is exactly what me and my mates said. Terrible, terrible film. Only got a reprieve from me due to the gun battle at the end, but that didn't go nearly far enough to make up for what was a genuinely bad film. Camera work was excellent, the sound effects and music were brilliant, but unfortunately the plot was very, very poor.

I just don't understand what happened. Me and my mates go to the cinema very frequently, at least once a week usually, but this was the first film that i have completely failed to understand. I think it was partly due to the dialogue being very muffled and at times i struggled to hear what the characters were saying. Although i believe it was largely down to the fact that the plot was just a bit, err, ill-explained?

*spoiler*

Am i right in thinking that they didnt actually catch the leak in the end? Gun fight, soppy scene, ending.

Erm.. what about the leak that got loads of the good guys killed eh?? :p

All in all i thought it was entertaining. Won't rock your world, but it was good nonetheless. Made me want to go to South America so badly!!! I didnt like how noisy/grainy the film was in places though. I know it was dark but it was a bit too much /geek ;)

Saw the film yesterday and I really wasent impressed, it just seemed to be over the top and really felt the caracters were nothing special.
Just really seemed like another no brainer action film and I was hopeing for something a little more really

O well never mind

im definately gonna have to disagree there, camera work is what would happen if Blair Witch crossed with Man on Fire

sound effects were nothing spectacular till the final (onlY) gunfight, the music did make a difference, i cant remember a single piece of music apart from the first song, Linkin Park feat. Jay Z.

I'd disagree there. I love the handheld look. Makes it seem so much more true-to-life and less Hollywood-y. Almost like you're watching something live on TV news instead of a big Hollywood super-smooth blockbuster.

Yep, my thoughts exactly :)

thing is i thought it didnt look like that at all just looked TO grainy. i like "real" cams but if its really bad then ruins the film such as this.

i think miami vice would have been better doing a blockbuster than stuff like traffic and man on fire

Well i too thought it was too grainy (although i think it's technically noise as it was filmed on digital (sorry a little argument i was having with my mate :p), but i still loved the camerawork. Watching endless action flicks shot with with 'perfect' steadicam, crane rigs and dolley shots just gets a bit.. meh. I like something different and that difference in my opinion put MV up from 'worth a watch' to 'pretty cool' in my book :) Each to their own of course.
