mice with >2 programmable buttons

hi,
i'm thinking of getting a new mouse for work. I use a 3d cad package and it would be nice to have more than the 2 aux buttons I have on my intellimouse explorer. The buttons need to be able to be mapped to keys or combinations of keys.
can anyone recommend one, please.

You can do this with both the MX510 and the MX1000.

Imagine most logitech mice can do it, but those are the only 2 I have used

Razer Copperhead is what I use. You'll either like the feel of the Razer, or the feel of the Logitechs imho.

You can set any button on Logitech mice using uberOptions.
