KaHn said:Actually yeah, get a ferret. I used to keep a few of them and the first one I got as an adult was evil! and I mean evil! This thing went for my dog (Big german shepard)
Kept 2 more which were hand tamed, one all white and another pole cat.

Place first sheet metal in loft at a convienet location, now place 4 rubber insulators down, place 2nd (hopefully smaller) sheet metal on these insulated rubber things.
Connect car battery to 2nd steel plate via jump leads
Place food in the centre of the 2 sheet metal.
listen for mouse exectuion music

Will probably love them to bits though.
Echoing above, make sure you either raise them from being very young, or get a hand-tamed one. They are super vicious otherwise.

I'll look into thatTorquar said:I live in an old building, and used to have an occasional rodent problem. I use a PestClear 2000 now and havent had any issues since. Its ultrasonic, and it also sends a pulse through the electrical wiring system, covers a fairly large area. It takes a week or so to have any real effect, but since then I have had no small furry guests.
