Micro SD cards class 10 ?

I know very little about this except what ive read on Wiki.

Ive bought a 16gb one and its max transfer is 3,8MB a second... 22 minutes to copy 4gb to it ..

I thought these things, class 10, had a transfer rate of 10MB (over a USB cable)

Have i totally misunderstood this?

Yeah its trivial just annoyingly slow.

Also I re-read what i wrote and ive been dumb read speed not write speed... still its slow
