MicroSDHD or SDHD?

Hi all

Would appreciate your views/expertise/experience.

I like using Micro SDHD cards because most of my appliances accept that. For my new Nikon SLR I am currently using a Micro SDHD in an adapter instead of a SDHD.

Im now looking at purchasing an additional large capacity one. But I dont know whether to go for the SDHD or the micro SDHD.

Does Micro SDHD adapter have any repercussions on the speed of data from the camera to the device? Does it matter whether its Micro or not?

Cheers for assistance.

I would be looking at a minimum of a class 10 card for a dslr (sometimes referred to as 60/66x). Theoretically these can write at a minimum of 10MB/s. This is an absolute must for continuous shooting. Class 20 would be even better (133x). I don't think micro SD cards are avilable at either these speeds. Hope this has helped :)

sandisk extreme 3's are quoted at 30Mb/s which is considerably faster than any uSD cards.

What new Nikon do you have and will you want to shoot a long burst?

I decided to start with the Nikon D5000 with standard lens, mainly due to cost restrictions. My aim is to get familiar with the camera, get some good lenses and then in 2 years when i have sufficient knowledge, work my way up to another model.

So for the time being im just an amateur user , but with the memory card my philosophy is if you need get something, you might as well get the best the first time!

Thanks for the tip - ill check out sandisk.
