Microsoft AXBOX ?

JohnnyG, is that a blanket ban or should I just lower the frequency of gifs being posted so some of the big girls on the forum can get that twist out of their knickers.

Well of course I do, I'm not saying I'm adverse to paying for Live, but I think its a little naughty of M$ to charge people £60 for paying monthly when it's so much cheaper yearly.

Some people might not know any better, especially when M$ automatically put people on the monthly pay service.

It's for people who only want to buy a month here or there, or so people can try it out for a month etc. Options are a good thing imo.

I still want dedicated servers though, fed up of whoever has the most bandwidth (always americans) getting the host.

I agree options are great, but I'm just saying £5 I think is a little too expensive. £3.50 I think would be a much fairer price than £5.

£3.50 x 12 = £42
£5 x 12 = £60

yearly is £40 officially from M$, but most people know to buy the cards which are on average £35.

This is more a rant than anything I actually expect M$ to do. Although I do think though that should the PS3 start to overtake the 360, M$ will either greatly reduce the price or drop it entirely.
 
I see your point, but also MS (no need to be childish with M$) want to encourage long contracts of Live as it guarantees income and encourages you to play more thus benefiting the community and XBL's reputation.

I see your point about microsoft wanting guaranteed 12 month contracts, but perhaps giving a free XBLA game or points to people who buy the 12 month subs (or other such incentives) would be fairer than charging almost double the subs price to those who perhaps don't have the £40 to pay in advance.

(I didn't realise that M$ would offend, my apologies)
