Microsoft bans Xbox Live users who illegally downloaded content

I believe they've banned the tags rather than the Xbox's themselves but this obviously means they've lost access to their paid for DLC and gamerscore.

Now I'm not playing ignorant but I don't even know how it was possible to illegally obtain marketplace content, Microsoft even say they won't divulge specifics. MY best guess would be a JTAG console?

Does anyone really know what it's all about?

That's just exploiting the console/gamertag licence is it not? Which afaik isn't really illegal.

My friend has 2 consoles and buy's it on his secondary console but uses his gamertag on his primary, that way he has two of everything...
