Microsoft brings back from the dead Age of Empires and Flight Simulator series

As he didnt provide a source its hard to believe what he said in his post only by googling i actually found info about it and the official site which i have shared in my previous post and iirc i didnt see any mention of the free-to-play stuff he said on the official site.

They are making it for new audiences so in turn make it look cartoony and easy and blah blah like most mass appeal games do instead of sticking to the actual ppl who play only these games.

Wish their was devs who just thought about making games for ppl to enjoy instead of being greedy mofos who only make games for money.

May fan games live forever :)

It looks cartoony, but to me it still looks like it could be real fun. The teaser vid showed that it was a similar gameplay engine to all the other games so I'm not sure, I think it could be pretty good :)

Looks like MS are trying to get onto the Planetarion/Trevian/Lord of Ultima (EA) bandwagon. Age of Empires is my all time fav RTS too but those screens are cringeworthy. Not read the articles yet though...

I presently play LoU with an alliance ranked number 1 on our continent and those screenshots pretty much easily tell the tale. LoU maybe 'free' to play but to actually have any chance of competing you have to pay rl cash for diamonds, which are ingame currency that you can use to buy 'powerups' or artifacts as they are known.

Lord of Ultima for EA rakes in probably more money in a single week, than their grandad MMO - Ultima Online does in a month. That is a colossal influx of cash coming in.
