Microsoft Campus in Reading, anyone been?

Off-topic:

Maybe I'm being naive, but why would you need to be dressed smartly if you're going on a course? I've been to a Global Knowledge (IT training courses -- MS/Cisco/etc) and everyone apart from the lecturers I've ever seen there were all dressed casually. Is this not the same kind of thing? (Again, maybe I'm just being naive and it is in fact something completely different).

As I said I've never ever been on anything like this so I didn't know, hence asking :)

Google says its a half hour walk from me. If I didn't have lectures or a group project to be getting on with I would give it a visit.
It's like right around the corner from the station if I remember correctly, there's a free bus which goes there...I think.

I've spent the last few weeks at an IT training place, I have to dress smart but everyone else on VMware courses are just dressed smart causal, jeans and shirt, jeans and tshirt or polo.

Bring a mac.

Everytime I've been to the campus at Reading, and I've been loads, I've taken an iPad and an iPhone. Comedy gold (or not).

Oh and as for the OP I've always gone in either smart jeans and a shirt or trousers and a shirt.

I'm off to see Balmer do a speech in London in November. I'm taking a chair to throw at him.

been a few times on workshops for clients. Smart casual and you wont look out of place. Its a fairly laid back place - lots of areas to relax and play xbox, have coffee etc. Also nice restaurant - one of the best I've seen in a workplace. Also last time I was there there was free drinks and fruit lying around but not sure if you'd get that on a training course or not

Just round the corner from me! I live off London Road, is pretty nice round there and considering they are all office buildings probably looks quite nice in the sun!

Don't know about your IT departments like but no one around here wheres a suit, even the management don't. Smart causal, although for some people it more casual then smart!

You need to go on a workshop for SCCM 2012??? Get the right building and it's full of hotties. Get the wrong building, and you'll be in the Microsoft training building......

Right turns out my management had signed me up for SCOM2012, not SCCM2012.

Well thats a day wasted. *sigh*
