Microsoft Counterfeit Software; a Positive Experience.

I purchased what I believed to be a genuine copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 from a New York retailer in 2011. It worked and validated just fine until May this year. I had to reload my SSD and the Office 2010 would not validate. I called Microsoft customer service and they told me the software was counterfeit even though It was sealed and from a recognised retailer. However, I did as they asked, filled in a counterfeit report online and posted the disk, retail packaging and booklets etc. to their Dublin Office. To their credit they have now sent me a new complimentary copy of Office Professional 2010 with genuine key code etc. So impressed I just had to share. Well done Microsoft.

I have heard of them doing this before. If they believe you have genuinely been conned, the they will give you a legit copy.

No they didn't, but, by doing so, look what it has done. Created a positive comment thread for MS on a high vis computer forum. In their eyes, probably a win
