intresting read, and having vista loaded it does have 50 procesess runing after install. i wouldnt mind trying the MAC os but will it run on my PC?
I like vista to look at, but looks arnt everything and after useing vista for a few days its shine soon wears off. the big thing with vista is DX10 and sooner or later games ect are coming. if there is no release of DX10 for XP then Mr bill has twisted your arm into buying vista! as a gamer. as for a genral public with no PC intrest beyond does it switch on!. if they buy a new PC and it comes with the latest and greatest offering from mr bill, (vista in OEM form so cheaper but limited to no serious hardware upgrades), it becomes a selling point and the genral public will take advantage and get used to vista. sooner or later like win 98 and win2000 XP will lose its market share to vista. and one final point new hardware will also be suporting the new OS with XP suport takeing the back foot once vista is released.
indeed mr bill does have most angles coverd, the security for OEM means no motherboard changing ect or you will have to pay again. retail pricing for most people who use these boards is geared towards the PC guru. who he knows will change many things in his PC so the price reflects that. if you want to use the pirate versions of vista it will mean no updates as vista contains a digital sig to make sure its legit. no dout some will have work arounds ect but it gets harder.
well love him hate him he has had the best marketing you could wish! for win 95 & 98 relased and copyed all over the world. by 2000 windows in on most PC,s in the world. and a good percentage are not geniune copys at that. then comes win 2000 which again has no real back up for being legit. then with XP it gets a little harder to run copys. and its activation becomes a pain and people buy it OEM or not. but now vista with digital sig's ect and the lessons of XP will put even more money in mr bill pocket. and with a global market already used to windows he's laughing all the way to the bank.
just as i see it!
Mac os sounds intresting as an OS but will games run DX10 also add on suport like sound card's ect might be limited.
