PM is going to be there showing off a new game and some Natal stuff, also expect some news on the Pro going, the elite getting cheaper and the Arcade going up in price.

Cheers, was looking for another one rather than the Eurogamer one. Not expecting too much, well certainly compared to the Sony one. Hopefully some more footage of Forza 3 and Mass Effect 2. I hope the new game isn't the Lips sequel as that would be garbage.

Peter Molyneux....

08:08:01 - Wilkommen, bienvenue, welcome to the Microsoft / Lionhead press conference.

08:09:16 - We're sitting in a big room in the Koelnmessse. There are medieval style-banners hanging from the walls - blue and red with crowns and fleur de lys on one side of the room, black with bloody eagle symbols on the other.

08:15:15 - Molynoire is on stage.

08:12:20 - Molynoire is talking about the success he's had so far. "I've got a little bit of an announcement about Fable II."

08:13:36 - It's something called "Fable episodic". As of September 29th, episodes 1 - 5 will be released.

08:14:38 - The first chapter will be free - when you get to the end of one you can opt to buy the next one, or buy the rest of the game.

08:14:52 - "Let's move on to talk about something else... FABLE III"

08:15:09 - "Now of course we're developing Fable III. We'd be insane not to." Check the Eurogamer front page RIGHT NOW, Fable fans!

08:15:27 - "The third child is always the problem child," says Peter.

08:15:44 - "The third game in the series tends to be a bit of a lull, you get bored of playing the character and the world..."

08:16:10 - "We want people to expect the unexpected. I want fans to say, 'Oi, you should clean up this from Fable 2" and so on.

08:16:42 - He wants to give us something really "new, fresh and different". In the first game, "We made a really good step forward with the dog" AAA STOP GOING ON ABOUT THE BLOODY DOG.

08:17:21 - "I think there's something fundamentally wrong with RPGs like Fable... It's a mechanic that's been there since the eighties. I'm going to take that foundation stone and throw it away."

08:17:38 - But he won't tell us what the foundation stone is today - he's leaving it as a "puzzle" for us. Thanks. Will it have a cat this time, Peter?

This one is working fine for me.

Fable 2 is being turned into some sort of episodic game split into 5 chapters your download. 1st chapter is free then you buy more if you like it.

Fable 3 is also announced, you get to the king/queen/ruler of Albion and your decisions impact the whole kingdom, etc, etc. You get toi allocate gold to certain areas, sounds like you make "promises" (before you become ruler) then you have to keep or break promises when you are in charge. You start the game from the kid you have in your Fable 2 Save. (I guess people who just get the free Fable 2 chapter 1 can use that save). You will some parts of Albion from Fable 2 and some new ones (old ones will look different).

Still Fable 3. :(

I hope this thing is more than an hour.

OH NO!! The "expressions" system from Fable 2 is being replaced with "touching" people :)

"When you first meet someone, you can either shake their hand or refuse. Later on, that handshake could become a hug, then an embrace, and then a full, passionate snog."

And now they are talking about "cupping"? I dare not guess what this means at this time of the morning on a family friendly forum :)

Also he said they are still working on Milo and Kate (the NATAL demo thing from E3) and he will have more details on "Fable 3" or "Milo and Kate" at 1pm in some other speech he is doing.

Weird, it's all over, looking at the times on the live blog that was 38 minutes exactly, all dedicated to Fable 2/3 ?

Wow... seriously? that's all form MS?

Don't know how they can bang on about Fable 3 for so long. Tried 2 and just thought it was dull. Still sitting on shelf wasting away...

Kind of a weak conference, should have been called the Peter Molyneux conference really, but I guess they announced most of their unknowns at E3. Microsoft have the habbit of only announcing or talking about things at these events that are on the horizon, rather than talking about games 3 years before they release. Still a little dissapointing, but kind of thankful as there are already way too many potentially good games to play at the end of this year and beginning of next.

Was hoping to see some more news about Arcade titles, I don't know why Microsoft release all their premium arcade titles in one block (summer of arcade), and then just churn out months of mediocrity until the next arcade event.

Stick with 2. I am not a huge RPG fan and I loved Fable 2 to bits. I would go as far as to say it was one of 2 games I kept my 360 for an extra 6 months (the other being Gears 2 which was more disappointing).

I am gutted a new one will be with us so soon and I will not be buying a new 360 soon on the horizon either :(
