Microsoft Excel help

Im trying to make a spread sheet to work out the expendatures of my house and which house mate has paid what. That much is pretty simple.

I would also like it to calculate say for example if one house mate has paid more than the others, how much that house mate is owed by the existing house mates. Basically to display a numerical figure of who owes who what.

This is what I have so far. Pretty basic I know but was hoping someone might be able to help me expand ot atleast give me some pointers.

I take it you want to work out the amount payable for said item and then how much split between a number of people and the amount outstanding?

I will not be opening a file from megafileuploads, so will need more input from you.
