Microsoft gameInput!

Hi

Anyone know what this is, I can’t launch a game in steam app as this Microsoft window keeps popping up trying to configure gameInput, the progress bar just stalls, and even cancelling is impossible.

it's to do with handling mice, keyboard, controllers etc for gaming
could try stopping it
in windows services and see what happens
GameInput Service would be what to look for

Thanks, in the end a restart seemed to sort it out launched the game from the desktop shortcut and it seemed to all work itself out this time.

yeah a restart is always worth a try
surprising how many times just doing that helps
main thing is you're sorted
and any further issues can try stopping or disabling
that service
