Microsoft 'high priority' update for radeon 9600?

My pc which i no longer use for gaming and only use for internet and other tasks has a radeon sapphire 9600 and microsoft update tells me its a high priority i update the drivers.

Im using catalyst 05.11 and havnt had any problems.

Should i update the catalyst drivers ? If so which version ? (windows Xp home)

I just wondered why microsoft seem to think its a high priority that i upgrade the drivers ?

Cos people phone up going "omgz my screens all blue when I play <insert new game here>" and it has already been fixed with new drivers.

No point ever getting driver updates off WU really. It's often a really old driver.

Just get the latest ones from the manufacturer website - in your case, ATi.

Its only saying its a high priority as your running older drivers, its not that serious.

The latest WU update is 8.4 so it's quite recent.
