Huzzah, equations made in the Windows version now display correctly :D

On the other hand, just loading Powerpoint makes my fan spin up to what seems like 100% :(

Had a bug where it wouldnt let me save any of my excel documents, rather annoying as I'd done a couple of hours work on it at the time. Hopefuly these updates will have fixed it.

Likewise, I was also getting excel hanging a lot too working on a very simple spreadsheet on a Macbook Pro

Keep getting an error when I attempt to do the latest updates. "Sorry, there's a problem with the downloaded file, so you can't update now. Please try again later." I've tried several times now and get the same error :(

Anybody got any ideas? :)

Installed this a week or so ago as I needed Office with decent performance (i.e. not in a virtual machine). Honestly, while it is a huge improvement over the old one (essentially bringing it more in line with what the Windows version offers), I think we'll need to wait until the final release to get a better idea on overall performance. Right now it's pretty terrible.

Does MS not make Publisher for Mac?

What's the best way to open and edit an existing publisher file on a mac?
Publisher for Windows, to be brutally honest.

Do the Office for Mac products worked properly with documents created on Office for Windows products? Essentially a friend has a Mac and needs to work on Excel documents with other people on a regular basis, but it's common for those people to use Windows PCs. In the past she's tried using Numbers, but that often throws up loads of issues - she said something about the formulae messing up when going between Excel on Windows and Numbers on OSX, etc.

So, would Excel for Mac work completely fine... or should she consider Parallels/Bootcamp?
Excel for Mac would work absolutely fine. As I stated in my previous post, the preview may have performance issues but she shouldn't have too many problems.
