Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0: x86 (KB928416)

do I need to install this update ?

I have version 2.0 [I think ] I noticed this in the "non critical updates" section of the Microsoft Windows XP and have been left scratching my head wondering if I need it at all ?

Advice........anyone?

ok, cheers for the replies guys, in a nutshell then; I don't need this but it won't do any harm if I install it ?

That would be my opinion of this thread. You don't need .net 3 but installing it won't make your PC go KABOOM!
